By focusing on problem solving and reasoning as a basis for the competition, Eye Level can encourage students to “think outside of the box” and hopefully bring a few newly learned skills from the Challenge back to their schoolwork.

The content of the competition is derived from Eye Level’s global math program. When a child studies math at an Eye Level center, they focus on two important components—Basic Thinking and Critical Thinking. By putting emphasis on problem solving and reasoning as well as on arithmetic, Eye Level strives to provide every student with a well-rounded math education that will set them up for future success as a lifelong learner.
